IRVING (C-USA/SMU) - SMU's Kelly Kraft has been named the Conference USA Golfer of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday. The award was the first given by C-USA this year and marks the sixth time in three seasons that Kraft has won the weekly award.

The Denton, Texas, native broke the Spring Hill Golf Club course record with an 8-under-par 64 over the final round of the Gopher Invitational and cruised to an eight-stroke win. The junior finished at 15-under par (67-70-64--201) to take medalist honors and lead the Mustangs to a 10-stroke win (855).

Kraft and the Mustangs return to the links next week at the Adams Cup in Providence, R.I., Sept. 21-22.
