DALLAS (SMU) - SMU fell to the No. 2 Portland Pilots by a score of 6-0 on Sunday at Westcott Field. SMU falls to 2-5-0 on the season, while Portland improves to 8-1-0.
Portland started the scoring in the 22nd minute with a goal from Kendall Johnson. Michelle Enyeart quickly followed up with her first of two goals on the afternoon to give Portland a 2-0 halftime lead.
The Pilots added four goals in the second half. Kendra Chandhoke added the fifth and sixth goals, giving her a multi-goal game.
SMU earned six corners, four more than Portland. Both SMU and Portland had eight shots on goal.
The Mustangs return to action on Friday, September 25 when they go to Colorado College to open C-USA play. SMU returns to Westcott Field on October 2nd when they host Rice at 7 p.m.
