TULSA, Okla. (SMU) --- The SMU volleyball team lost at Tulsa, 3-1 (14-25, 19-25, 25-20, 14-25), on Saturday afternoon. The Mustangs conclude the regular season 25-6 overall, which is the best record in program history.
Dana Powell led the Mustang attack with 20 kills on 47 swings with only four errors (team-high .340 hitting percentage). Kathryn Wilkerson and Jessica Oliver also provided offense for SMU with 12 and 13 kills, respectively.
Defensively, Wilkerson posted a match-high 24 digs to record her 13th double-double during league play this season. Powell followed with 16 digs and her 14th double-double in C-USA play. Both of the outside hitters were named to the All-C-USA First Team earlier this week.
Sophomore Courtney Manning led the match with four blocks.
SMU ends the regular season second place in Conference USA with a 17-3 record in league play. The Mustangs finish the season winning 13 of their last 15 matches.
The Mustangs now await seeding for the NCAA Volleyball Tournament. The NCAA Women's Volleyball Championship selection show airs tomorrow on ESPNews at 2 p.m. CT.
