Conference USA Day 2 Results 
HOUSTON (SMU) - The SMU men's and women's swimming and diving teams each extended their leads after Day 2 at the Conference USA Championships. The men posted a total of 313 points while the women have 270 through the first two days of action. The women own a lead of 64 points over Rice (204) and the men are 54 better than their next closest competitor Hawaii (259).
Devon Callaghan won the 200 yard IM for the Mustangs Thursday with an NCAA "B" Qualifying time of 2:00.03. She was also part of the team's 400 yard medley relay which finished first with a time of 3:36.97, also an NCAA "B" Qualifying time.
On the men's side the Mustangs had the first three finishers in the 50 yard freestyle, won by Thomas Fadnes with an NCAA "B" Qualifying time of 20.10 seconds. He finished .06 seconds ahead of Mindaugas Saduskas and .16 seconds better than David Larsson. All three times qualified for the NCAA Championships next month. Larsson was also part of the team's 400 yard medley relay that finished in first with a time of 3:12.29 to qualify for the NCAAs.
The C-USA Championships will continue on Friday and wrap up Saturday. Results will be made available at the conclusion of each day on smumustangs.com.
