No. 18 SMU Women's Swimming Receives CSCAA Scholar Award

DALLAS (SMU) - The No. 18 SMU women's swim team was named to the College Swim Coaches Association of America Fall 2009 Scholar list for its collective classroom performance. The team finished the semester with a GPA of 3.28.
The Mustangs were third on the list among Conference USA teams, behind only Houston and Tulane. Teams SMU finished ahead of included Texas A&M, TCU and fellow C-USA rival East Carolina.
In the pool, both the SMU men's and women's team will return to action on Saturday at Joe Perkins Natatorium against the University of Texas. The women will compete at 11 a.m. and the No. 23 men's team will compete at 5 p.m. Full results will be made available at the conclusion of competition.
