SORRENTO, Fla. (SMU) - After rain delayed tee times by over two hours, the SMU men's golf team bounced back from a tough opening round and moved up to fourth place with a team 291 at the C-USA Men's Golf Championship at the par 72, 7,152-yard RedTail Golf Club. Carding a team score 12 shots better than its opening-round effort, SMU now sits at 594 after 36 holes and is within striking distance of the leaders entering Wednesday's final round.

Matt Schovee led SMU's day two charge, shooting 71, while Kelly Kraft and Draegen Majors carded 73s. James Kwon's 74 also counted for SMU as the Mustangs posted one of the lowest rounds of the day. Kraft is now tied for seventh at 147, while Kwon is tied for 15th at 148.

UCF leads the team event at 580 and Christopher Brown of Rice tops in the individual list at 139.
