SORRENTO, Fla. (SMU) - Despite firing its tournament-low round, the SMU men's golf team was unable to move up from fourth place in the final round of the C-USA Men's Golf Championship at the par 72, 7,152-yard RedTail Golf Club. SMU's final-round 285 was six shots better than its round two total and 18 shots better than its round one score. Finishing at 879, SMU was just three shots out of second place.
Kelly Kraft's final-round 70 helped him move into the top 10, as he finished ninth at 217. James Kwon tied for 16th at 221, while Matt Schovee and Ben Tewes tied for 27th at 225. Draegen Majors rounded out the SMU squad in 32nd at 226.
UCF claimed the C-USA Championship at 858 and Christopher Brown of Rice took medalist honors at 209.
