DALLAS (SMU) --- SMU women's basketball head coach Rhonda Rompola handed out the team awards for the 2009-10 season at the team banquet held at the Crescent Hotel.

SMU posted a 20-11 record this season and made the WNIT, recording its third straight postseason after making the NCAA Tournament in 2008 and the WNIT in 2009. The Mustangs finished tied for second in Conference USA, posting a 10-6 league record. First-Team All-Conference USA selection Brittany Gilliam and fellow seniors Jillian Samuels and Alice Severin, along with junior Haley Day, all made their third trip to a postseason tournament.

• Hustle - Haley Day (9.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists)
• Rebounding - Christine Elliott (8.2 rebounds with 10.9 points)
• Defense - Alice Severin (6.3 points, 5 rebounds, 1.2 blocks)
• Offense - Brittany Gilliam (14.7 points, 5.0 assists, 6.3 rebounds, 2.1 steals; first team All- Conference USA
• Mustang - Alice Severin (Academic All-Conference)
