OKLAHOMA CITY (SMU) - SMU swimmer Genny Konicke posted several top times at the Chesapeake Elite Meet over the weekend. The senior placed fourth in the 50-yard freestyle with an NCAA B standard time of 22.96. Konicke earned a pair of runner-up finishes in the 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard freestyle, touching the wall in 53.63 and 50.47, respectively. She had a third place finish in the 100-yard backstroke, clocking in at 54.12. Konicke also helped lead the 400-yard freestyle relay team to a third place finish (3:27.88).

The Mustangs resume competition Jan. 12 with a dual meet at Texas A&M.
