Klemm Named C-USA Recruiter Of The Year

Feb. 4, 2011

DALLAS - SMU offensive line coach Adrian Klemm has been named the FoxSports/Scout.com Conference USA Recruiter of the Year, the news outlet announced today. Klemm, in his second year as the offensive line coach on the Hilltop, is credited by the site for reeling in eight of the 28 student-athletes who committed to SMU on Wednesday.

FoxSports/Scout.com hands out this award annually, and it is voted on by the FoxSports/Scout.com recruiting staffs.

With SMU ranking as the top non-BCS AQ and No. 1 C-USA school in the Scout.com 2011 team rankings, it comes as no surprise that a Mustang recruiter is taking home the award.

With Klemm's work, the SMU staff made a big impact in California, signing four-star linebacker Davon Moreland and three-star offensive tackle Dontae Levingston, beating out traditional top-25 teams for both players.

"Obviously, Adrian's doing some great work out there (California), but I think he's great anywhere. He really connects with kids and having those Super Bowl rings doesn't hurt," said SMU head coach June Jones. "That said, I don't want to overlook the work our other coaches have done because they have really brought in some outstanding players as well."
