DALLAS (SMU) --- SMU equestrian freshman Ramsay Hanson was named the reserve champion in the Adult Hunter division at the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Fla. this past weekend.
"We are extremely proud of Ramsay's accomplishments in outside competitions," said SMU equestrian head coach Haley Schoolfield. "Ramsay is very committed to continuing her equestrian education and does an excellent job balancing academics, being a student athlete and competing in outside competitions."
Hanson, who was on a horse that was a catch ride named Old Fashion, also placed 10th out of 74 riders in the Low Amateur Owner Jumper Classic.
Hanson and the SMU equestrian team return to action by hosting competitions at Buck Branch against Baylor and Oklahoma State, respectively, on Mar. 26-27.
