WACO, Texas (NCEA/SMU) – Five members of the SMU equestrian team earned Ariat National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) All-America honors, the association announced in a release on Tuesday. SMU has at least one All-American in each event.
Madison Rafacz earned First-Team All-America honors after an explosive freshman season. The Ocala native posted an unblemished record of 8-0-2, collecting four MOPs along the way. Rafacz was named Arion NCEA Rider of the Month three times this season, the most by a freshman in a single season in NCEA history.
Sophomore Caroline Signorino was named to the NCEA All-America Second Team for Fences. The newcomer recorded a Fences mark of 7-2-0 while also competing on Flat as well. Signorino took home an MOP against Oklahoma State on March 7 after recording a season-high point of 87.
