UPDATED DRAWS WACO, Texas (SMU) - Junior Hristina Dishkova and senior Holly Verner had their remarkable run at the ITA Texas Regional end in the semifinals of the doubles draw on Sunday, as they fell to TCU's Seda Arantekin and Stefanie Tan; 6-4, 6-2.

"Congratulations to Hristina and to Holly for reaching the semifinal of the ITA Regional," said Head Coach Kati Gyulai. "They played phenomenal tennis all fall and it was great to see them peak at this tournament. I am very proud of the improvements they have made and for leading our team."

Sophomores Anna Kate Anderson and Macie Elliott also competed for the Mustangs on Sunday. Anderson and Elliott played in doubles consolations, dropping an 8-6 decision to Pippa Carr and Ana Laura Gutierrez of Texas State.

"The ITA Regional is the premier event of the fall," said Gyulai. "We put in the hours on and off the court all semester. I am very pleased to see that our hard work is paying off. We look forward to getting better as the season continues."

The Mustangs will return to action on Friday, Oct. 31, for the Houston Invitational. The three-day event will conclude on Sunday, Nov. 2.
