Final Results

ORLANDO, Fla. - SMU completed its third and final round of the UCF Challenge at Eagle Creek Golf Club on Tuesday. The Mustangs tied for 13th after shooting 888 (297, 290, 301) as a team. Jenny Haglund had the best individual finish by shooting three-over (219: 73, 70, 76) for the event.

Haglund had 15 pars in her final round of four-over par 76. For the 54-hole event, the junior was even par on par 3's and one-under on par 5's. She tied for 29th, her fourth top 30 finish this season.

Senior Jennifer Park had her best round of the event by shooting 74. Park had three birdies in her final round. She shot 228 in the tournament (79, 75, 74).

"We had the opportunity to move up today," head coach Jeanne Sutherland said. "The winds were high and there were higher scores across the board. I was happy to see Jennifer close the weekend on a high note."

Like Haglund, Evelyn Dole shot 76 in her final 18 holes to conclude the event at 223 (71, 76, 76). Lindsey McCurdy was three-over to finish the event at 227 (79, 73, 75). Alexandra Rossi shot a 78 to close the weekend at 224 (74, 72, 78).

Next for the Mustangs is the UC Irvine Invitational presented by KIA, which begins on Feb. 23. The tournament will be held at the Santa Ana Country Club.

"We have to learn from this and practice even harder," Sutherland said. "We'll raise our standard and be ready to tee off in Irvine."
