DALLAS -- The SMU women's cross country team announced its 2015 schedule on Wednesday.
After a third-place finish at the conference meet last year, head coach Cathy Casey and the Mustangs seek their fourth conference title in the past five years and sixth in the past eight years.
The Mustangs open the season with three in-state meets, kicking off the season with a race at Texas A&M on Sept. 4. SMU then travels to North Texas on Sept. 12 and UT Arlington on Sept. 19. SMU has won the UT Arlington Invitational the past two seasons.
The team then gears up for the postseason with a pair of competitive out-of-state meets. On Oct. 2, the Mustangs head to South Bend for the Notre Dame Invitational, before concluding the regular season with the Wisconsin Invitational on Oct. 16.
The American Athletic Conference Championship takes place on Oct. 31 at Overton's Lake Kristi in Grimesland, North Carolina. East Carolina is this year's host. The NCAA South Central Regional is held two weeks later on Nov. 13 and is hosted by Texas A&M. The 2015 NCAA Championship race will be in Louisville, Kentucky, on Nov. 21.
