FORT Worth, Texas (SMU) – No. 77 Lisa Buss picked up a win in the singles main draw Saturday to advance to the round of 16 at the ITA Regional Championships.

The Togliatti, Russia, native is the No. 9 seed and earned her second victory of the weekend with a 6-0, 6-2 win against Stephen F. Austin's Gabriela Guilarte. Buss will now face Bianca Turati of Texas Sunday in the round of 16. Turati is the No. 1 seed and ranked No. 24 in the Oracle/ITA rankings.

Sarai Monarrez Yesaki recorded two wins to advance to the fourth round of the consolation singles draw. Yesaki defeated Texas State's Flavia Gutierrez, 6-1, 6-3, before earning a three set victory against Houston's Laura Bernardos, 6-3, 4-6, 10-2. Yesaki will match up against Nidhi Surapaneni of North Texas Sunday.

In doubles play, the duo of Yesaki and Ana Perez-Lopez won a pair of matches to advance to the quarterfinals. Yesaki and Perez-Lopez registered an 8-5 win against Texas Tech's Lana Rush and Alexandra Valenstein. In the round of 16, the Mustang duo continued their winning ways with an 8-4 victory against TCU's Alexis Pereira and Meredith Roberts. Yesaki and Perez-Lopez will meet Texas A&M's Domenica Gonzalez and Eva Paalma Sunday. Gonzalez and Paalma are the No. 2 seed and ranked No 29 in the country.

Action on Sunday will begin at 10 a.m., with start time for Monday and Tuesday determined later in the tournament. Admission is free for all fans during the tournament. Draws and results will be available at itatennis.com.
