Sophomore Improves 21 Spots From A Year Ago To Place 121st

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (SMU/NCAA) – Sophomore Hannah Miller finished 121st out of 255 competitors at the NCAA Championship Saturday morning at the E.P. 'Tom' Sawyer State Park.
The Invercargill, New Zealand, native performance was an improvement of 23 spots, as she finished 144th a year ago. Miller finished the 6-kilometer course in a time of 20 minutes, 52.8 seconds. Her finish was the best by a Mustang since Agnes Sjostrom placed 101st in 2014.
Miller was one of 38 individual qualifiers that qualified for the national meet after a seventh place finish at the NCAA South Central Regional. She was named to the South Central All-Region team after running 19:50.7 in the 6k and breaking the school record set by Silje Fjortoft in 2011 by eight seconds.
