DALLAS (SMU) – Nicole Petchey led SMU to seven wins on day two of the Red and Blue Challenge Saturday at the SMU Tennis Complex. The Mustangs registered four wins in doubles and three in singles.

Petchey teamed with Emma Pieroni for a 6-4 win against Shimoguchi/Xiang of Central Arkansas, 6-4, before pairing with Anzhelika Shapovalova to defeat Bellucco/Lazarova of Wichita State, 6-2. The freshman picked up her third win of the day in singles play against QiLi Ma (Central Arkansas), 6-4, 6-4.

Liza Buss notched two wins Saturday as she paired with Karina Traxler for 6-2 win against Bellucco/Hsu of Wichita State. In singles play, Buss earned a 7-6, 6-5 win by default against Tulsa's Ksenia Laskutova. Traxler also won in singles with a 6-3, 7-6 win against Laskutova teammate, Vera Ploner.

The tournament will conclude Sunday at 9 a.m. with singles play.
