Down 3-2 with two minutes left in regulation, goalkeeper Catie Brown served a curling free-kick into the box, where Oates got above the Memphis backline and netted a header to force overtime. Tied 2-2, Memphis managed to break the tie late with a header goal in the 84th minute. In the 82nd minute, Allred knotted the game at 2-2 with her second goal of the night. Following a weak Rachel Ashworth Shepard goal kick, the Mustangs were able to win the ball in the air and gain possession in the attacking third. A perfect header by the SMU backline found the feet of a crashing Allie Thornton, who touched a pass to Isabelle Nashmi up the near wing. From the top, near corner of the 18-yard box, the freshman was able to split a pair of Tiger defenders and find a waiting Allred, who buried the shot. Memphis opened scoring in the 6th minute, before Allred tied the game, 1-1, four minutes later (10') with her first career goal. Following a Haley Thompson corner kick, the ball bounced loose to the top of the 18-yard box, where Allred turned and fired a first-time shot over the head of Morgan Berg.
