HOUSTON (SMU) –
Ana Perez-Lopez and
Charline Anselmo remain undefeated in doubles play as the duo advanced to the Flight 4 final on day two of the Rice Invitational.
Perez-Lopez and Anselmo defeated Klara Mrcela and Anna Wichert (UT Arlington), 6-4.
Nicole Petchey and
Tiffany Hollebeck also won in doubles play with a 6-0 victory against Texas State's Alex Jones and Sofia Murcia-Rodriguez.
In singles play, Anselmo picked up a 6-4, 6-4 victory against Khee Yen Wee (Sam Houston State), while
Nicole Petchey defeated Ana Perez (Texas State) in 6-3, 6-2. Both Anselmo and Petchey advanced to the singles consolation final in Flight 5 and Flight 4, respectively.
Matches are set to begin at 9 a.m. on Sunday with the final round of singles.
