SMU Equestrian Signs Five For 2018-19

DALLAS (SMU) – The No. 2-ranked SMU equestrian team inked five student-athletes to National Letters of Intent for the 2018-19 season, head coach Carol Gwin announced.

The Mustangs signed Hunt Seat riders Devin Seek and Olivia Woodson, and Western riders Katharine Shepherd, Mallory Vroegh and Megan Waldron.

"The talent that we have in the 2018-19 signing class is amazing," Gwin said. "When we are recruiting we look for a student-athlete that has the entire package. That includes academics, work ethic and great riding skills. Coach Megan Southam and Coach McKenzie Lantz have done a really great job finding these unique individuals and I have no doubt that we will continue to raise the bar on our competiveness in the arena and the classroom. I am looking forward to welcoming these young women to the Hilltop in the fall."
