DALLAS (SMU) – No. 6 SMU won the Fourth Annual Bush Cup versus Army on Thursday at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas.

"Today, our SMU golf team not only showed their talent on the course, but they showed great character and respect for their opponents," said Head Coach Jason Enloe. "The Army golf team is a group of young men who not only compete hard on the course, but train hard to protect our great country. The whole Bush Cup event was a memory of a lifetime for me and our team. We had fun competing, making new friends, and having a once in a lifetime dinner with former President Bush (43) and Jim Nantz. It was truly a magical two days, and the Mustangs were so blessed to play a part in it."
 
The Mustangs clinched the victory with a 13.5-1.5 decision over Army. The event featured five foursome rounds played in the morning and 10 singles matches in the afternoon. SMU claimed all five of the morning foursomes and won eight of the 10 singles matches.
