Final SMU Invitational Draws

DALLAS (SMU) – SMU women's tennis senior Vivienne Kulicke won the championship match in the No. 3 singles draw to lead the Mustangs on the final day of the SMU Invitational at the SMU Tennis Complex on Sunday.

Kulicke wrapped up an undefeated weekend with her third straight win, beating Abilene Christian's Sarah Adams 7-5, 6-4.

Seniors Ana Perez-Lopez and Karina Traxler had productive days in the No. 1 draw for both singles and doubles. The duo teamed up to beat Roberts and Racine of Mississippi in the No. 1 doubles third-place match 6-1. In the No. 1 singles consolation bracket, Perez-Lopez defeated Lidia Yanes Garcia (Austin Peay) 6-4, 6-1 and Traxler topped Meredith Roberts (Mississippi State) 6-4, 6-4.

The Mustangs return to action on Oct. 18 for the ITA Regional Championships in College Station, Texas.
