SAN FRANCISCO (SMU) – McClure Meissner carded an even par 71 Friday to pace the Mustangs on day two of The Goodwin.
The freshman from San Antonio, Texas carded three birdies on the day and sits tied for 27th at even par (71-71—142).
Jackson Markham is tied for 18th overall at 1-under par (69-72—141) after posting a 1-over 72. After a 2-over front nine, the sophomore found his form and shot 1-under on the back half to wrap up the round.
Gray Townsend, Clancy Waugh and Daniel Connolly all posted 2-over 73s. Townsend is tied for 47th (71-73—144), while Waugh and Connolly are T112th and T116th, respectively.
As a team, the Mustangs are currently in 15th place. SMU is 10-over par through two days (289-289—578).
SMU tees off on the third and final day of The Goodwin at 3:20 p.m. CT/1:20 p.m. PT. SMU will be paired with BYU and Nevada.
