RESULTS
 
AUSTIN, Texas (SMU) -- SMU women's golf concluded play with a 15th-place finish at the Besty Rawls Longhorn Invite on Sunday.
 
"This week was the same story as last week," said head coach Jeanne Sutherland. "We just didn't putt well so we chalked up too many bogeys and not enough birdies. We're going to keep working as hard as possible to get it turned around in this fall."
 
 
Faith Summers (75-73-73=221, +5) led the way for the third straight round for the Mustangs. Summers sunk four straight birdies to finish up the front nine and carded one-over 73, matching her season low. Summers finished in a share of 30th.  Serena Shah (81-73-74=228, +12) moved up a couple of spots on the leaderboard with a two-over performance. After a nine-over round one, Shah played three-over for the remainder of the tournament and finished in a tie for 52nd.
 
Sophie DiGesualdo (78-77-78=233, +17) finished in a share of 64th after shooting a 78 on Sunday. Kennedy Pedigo (84-79-75=238, +22) had her best round of the tournament carding a 75. Pedigo finished in 70th. Three spots behind Pedigo, Ana Paula Ramirez (81-82-79=242, +26) finished in 73rd.
 
As a team, the Mustangs shot 300 (+12) on the day and concluded the tournament five strokes back of 14th-place New Mexico.
 
Texas won the team title with a score of 19-under behind a 15-under final round on their home course. Isabella Fierro of Oklahoma State won the individual title.
 
The Mustangs wrap up their fall slate when they head to the Caribbean for the Bahamas Invitational from Oct. 28-30.
