Saturday will mark the thirteenth meeting of the two schools, with SMU's most recent win (11-9) coming last season on October 21, 2017.

    In 2018-19, SMU's record is 6-1 so far, while opponent OSU stands at 2-5. SMU is led by the team's Reining and Equitation Over Fences squads who have both earned four event wins each.

    Riders for the Red & Blue have received 18 conference honors, including UEC Rider of the Week recognition every week they've competed, along with two UEC Rider of the Month awards. Additionally, Mustangs have earned 22 MOPs on the season, in addition to having four undefeated individual riders, as well as the winningest rider in program history on the current roster.

    The spring season also includes a stop at No. 7 TCU (March 9) and home meets where the Mustangs will host UC Davis (Feb 22) and No. 1 Auburn (March 2) at the Dallas Equestrian Center, ahead of UEC Championships at the end of March (March 22-23) and the NCEA National Championship in late April (April 16-20).

MOP MAGIC 
SMU riders have represented the team in Most Outstanding Player selections in every meet this season. The Mustangs have had multiple MOP award winners in all but two meets. Mustangs earned four MOPs against Fresno State and DSU, three over TCU, two facing South Carolina and Texas A&M, and one each in meets versus Georgia and Sweet Briar College.

-A two-event athlete along with Gray, Tali DeJong, Olivia Woodson, Devin Seek and Alderman, Vivian Yowan is 5-0-1 in Equitation on the Flat, and has only one loss in Equitation Over Fences for a 6-1 record this season in the event. 
-Devin Seek is undefeated in Equitation Over Fences, 4-0-1 and on the flat, 1-0.
-Alexandra Murphy is 2-0 in Equitation on the Flat.
-Olivia Woodson, undefeated in Equitation on the Flat, 2-0, and has only one loss over fences, 4-1-1.

OUTSTANDING INDIVIDUALS
-Nora Gray has gone 6-1 in Equitation Over Fences. With her wins at Texas A&M, team captain Gray rose to become the winningest rider in school history. 
-Aubrey Alderman is 5-1 in Reining. 
-Haylee Schoonover is 5-1 in Horsemanship.
-Savannah Ostner is 5-1 in Reining.
