DALLAS (SMU) – Junior Erin Trahan won all three of her individual events, and freshman Johanna Holloway swept diving action to lead the Mustangs Friday night against Tulane. The Green Wave came out ahead in the team scoring, 154-146. SMU finishes the season 4-5 in dual action, while Tulane improves to the same record.

Trahan picked up wins in the 50- and 100-yard freestyles, as well as the 100-yard butterfly. In the 100 free, she led a Mustang sweep, with Felicity Passon and Sam Smith finishing second and third, respectively. Olivia Grossklaus was second in the 100 fly.

Passon posted a victory of her own in the 100-yard backstroke, while Grossklaus won the 200-yard butterfly and was second in the 200 free.

Andrea Podmanikova led SMU in breaststroke events with a pair of second place finishes, and Gabi Grobler matched her finishes in the 200 back and 200 IM.

In diving action, Holloway posted NCAA Zone qualifying scores on both springboards. She registered a six-round 276.83 on 1 meter and a 290.55 on 3 meter. Both marks were career bests. Taylor Ohlhauser also posted a qualifying score on 1 meter at 265.50, which was good for a runner-up finish. Her 277.88 on 3 meter was just off the 280 qualifying mark, but earned her second place points. Katie Crown rounded out the 3 meter sweep for SMU.

Prior to the meet, the Mustangs honored seniors Amy Hess, Ashley Mercadel, Keegan Pho, Casey Rose, Kelcie Winters and El Yellin.

SMU is back in action tomorrow for a Pre-Conference Time Trial event with sessions beginning at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The event features swimmers and divers from North Texas and Oklahoma Baptist, as well as divers from TCU. Live results will be available at SMUMustangs.com.
