AUSTIN, Texas (SMU) – Erin Trahan and Andrea Podmanikova wrapped up competition at the NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships in Austin, Texas, on Saturday.

Trahan competed in three events for the Mustangs at the meet, earning her highest finish of 24th in heats of the 100-yard butterfly. The junior posted a time of 52.22. In the 200 distance, Trahan finished 38th at 1:57.09.

She also competed in the 50-yard freestyle on day two, placing 45th in preliminary action with a time of 22.79.

The Championships capped off a successful junior season for Trahan that saw her earn American Athletic Conference Most Outstanding Swimmer honors. Her career-best times posted at the conference meet placed her in the top three of SMU's all-time top performer lists in the 100 (51.92) and 200 fly (1:56.44), and in the top 10 of the 50 free (22.53).

The 2019 Championships were the second for Podmanikova, after qualifying in 2018 as a freshman. She placed 36th overall in the 100-yard breaststroke, covering the distance in 1:00.22, and was 28th in the 200 with a time of 2:10.00. The finish placed her seven spots ahead of her 2018 ranking.

Podmanikova won both events at the conference championships and set the SMU program record in the 200 distance at 2:08.66. Her 100 time ranks her third on SMU's all-time top performer list at 59.68.
