RICHMOND, Va. (SMU) – Three Mustangs qualified for Consolation Finals on night three of the TYR Pro Swim Series at Richmond. Olivia Grossklaus, Erin Trahan and Felicity Passon advanced in their respective events to lead SMU.

The evening opened with the 200-meter butterfly that saw Grossklaus place fourth in the event's B Final with a time of 2:16.10. The finals time was over a second faster than her morning prelim swim and also improved her two spots from her 14th seed coming in.

In the 50-meter butterfly, Trahan and Passon led the way for the Mustangs finishing fourth and sixth, respectively, in the Consolation Final. Trahan clocked a 27.76, while Passon turned in a time of 27.81.

The duo also finaled in a second event, with Passon placing third in the C Final of the 100 back (1:03.18) and Trahan finishing seventh in the 50 free (27.16) D final.

Making her first finals appearance of the event was Gabi Grobler, who did so in the 100-meter backstroke. Grobler moved up one spot from her qualifying spot to finish fourth in the D Final in a time of 1:05.35

The event concludes Saturday with the 200 IM, 200 back, 50 breast, 100 free, and 1500 free on the schedule.
