DALLAS (July 29, 2019) – SMU Athletics begins a brand-new relationship in 2019-20 for home football games with Tailgate Express LLC., a turnkey tailgate and event hospitality company. Tailgate Express showcases a simple, yet unique tailgate solution for fans on The Boulevard by offering comprehensive packages, a-la-carte tailgate options and various add-ons such as television media packages.
Tailgate Express brings its full-service tailgating model to SMU, having operated at Texas Tech the last seven years. Tailgate Express provides numerous package options, as well as custom package offerings, providing fans a stress-free service on college football game days.

Tailgate Express will operate on The Boulevard, in the heart of the SMU Campus. This pre-game hospitality mixed with a hassle-free tailgate experience for fans prior to each of the SMU home football games will offer turnkey or customized packages accommodating different sized groups. The relationship between SMU and Tailgate Express was secured by Mustang Sports Properties, the university's athletics multimedia rightsholder and local Learfield IMG College team.
