LAST TIME OUT
SMU made program history last week with a 17-1 win over then-No. 7 TCU. The 16-point difference was the largest winning margin since SMU's program began. The Mustangs tied two points and allowed only one in Horsemanship to secure the win. In the second half of the meet, SMU swept Fences and Reining to shut out the Horned Frogs in the events. Mustangs earned all four MOP honors for the second time this season.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Fresno State found itself ranked No. 5 in this week's NCEA rankings. In event rankings, the Bulldogs are No. 4 in Flat, No. 11 in Fences, No. 4 in Horsemanship and No. 2 in Reining. The team enters the matchup with a 7-5 record, including two top-5 wins, both coming at home. Fresno State recently split results in Texas with a win at TCU and loss at Baylor. The Bulldogs are 5-3 at home this season.

The University of Lynchburg has only competed in three NCEA matchups this season. They have fallen to Fresno State, SUNY New Paltz and Delaware State. This will be the first neutral matchup for the Hornets this season.

SERIES HISTORY
Fresno State holds a 10-8 series lead over SMU and a 5-1 lead when playing in Fresno. The Mustangs, though, have won six of the last seven matchups, including two wins at UEC Championships. SMU swept last season's matchups winning 15-5 at home during the regular season and 14-2 in Martin, Tennessee at the UEC Championships.
