No. 25 SMU takes on No. 1 and top-seed Florida State in the second round of the NCAA Tournament Friday night at 5 p.m. ET/4 p.m. CT in Tallahassee, Fla. The Mustangs advanced with a 2-0 win against No. 21 Texas, while Florida State defeated South Alabama 3-0 in the first round.
ABOUT SMU
• No. 25 SMU is 12-4-2 overall this season and went 4-2-2 in the American Athletic Conference, which features three teams in the NCAA RPI top 30 and six on nine members in the top 75.
• All four conference wins were shutouts.
