PREVIEW
SMU is back home to begin a three game home stand at Moody Coliseum. The action gets underway on Thursday, March 4 at 6 p.m. when the Mustangs host Tulane. The rematch is scheduled for Friday, March 5 at 2 p.m. Both matches will be broadcast on ESPN+.

SERIES HISTORY
SMU and Tulane have faced off 30 times since they began competing against each other in 2001. The Green Wave have won the past four meetings. Before that run, SMU strung off eight straight wins. Tulane has the longest winning-streak in the series taking nine straight matches from 2006-2009.

LAST TIME OUT
The Mustangs split a pair of conference games against Wichita State last week. SMU fell 3-1 on Thursday, but after being down 2-0 in Saturday's match the Mustangs rallied to take down the previously undefeated Shockers.

PRESEASON AWARDS 2020-21 HONORS  AAC WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Kaylyn Winkler was named to the AAC weekly honor roll. She ranked fourth in The American with a .441 hitting percentage and averaged 1.22 blocks per set in a 1-1 series split with Wichita State; hit .400 with seven total blocks (one solo) in a five-set victory at Wichita State on Saturday.
 
 SILVER SEASON
The Mustangs continue the 25th season of the SMU volleyball program, all of which have come under the watchful eye of head coach Lisa Seifert. With 420 career wins on the Hilltop, she is tied second all-time among SMU coaches--across all sports--in career wins.

A LOOK AT THE OPPONENT
Tulane fell 3-1 twice to Houston in its last series. The Green Wave swept the season series against Memphis for their two conference victories. Tulane took down UNO and Southern Miss to begin the season. Tulsa is 1-4 away from its home court this season. The other five losses have come to Southeastern Louisiana, Stephen F. Austin twice, and UCF twice.

UP NEXT
SMU will host Tulsa March 12th at 6 p.m. and March 13th at 2 p.m. Both games will be broadcast on ESPN+.
