SARASOTA, Fla. – No. 12 SMU completed the second day of the NCAA Championships on Saturday morning. The Mustangs grabbed two first place finishes in their respected C/D Semifinal races on the day to set up an exciting Championship Sunday.

The First Varsity Eight placed first in its semifinal race with a time of 6:27.600 to edge No. 10 Duke and place itself in the C Final competition on Sunday at 8:12 AM CT. The V4 ended the day with a solid 7:19.283 to also finish first ahead of No. 13 Alabama. The Varsity 4 will look to finish strong in the C Final tomorrow at 7:24 AM CT.

After winning its repechage yesterday, the Second Varsity Eight came in fifth today in the A/B Semifinal. This boat will race in the Petite Final on Sunday at 9:12 AM CT.
