DALLAS – For the fourth straight spring season, SMU men's tennis will face off with Prairie View A&M in their opener. Back to back matches will be played in doubleheader format. The contests are scheduled for 10AM and 2PM on January 13 at the Mustangs' home Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex. SMU is undefeated against A&M dating back to the 2005-06 season.
SMU is coming off a strong fall season having won a singles title at the Lakes Collegiate Invitational, as well as a singles and doubles title at the Islander Invite. Coming off his AAC Freshman of the Year season,
Liam Krall looks improve and continue to impress in his sophomore campaign. Standout contributors
Caleb Chakravarthi,
Jordi Redelijk, and
Julian Steinhausen will also be key players for the Mustangs this season.
Head Coach
Grant Chen is entering his fourth season at the helm of the program. SMU is 42-36 since Chen arrived on the hilltop in 2018. Associate Head Coach
