DALLAS (SMU) – No. 31 SMU Men's Tennis won 4-0 against Boston College at Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex on Saturday.
The Mustangs grabbed the doubles point by winning courts one and three of doubles play, before winning courts one, three and four of singles play for the sweep win.
Trevor Svajda and
Jerry Barton won their 12th doubles match of the season, while
Meethre Barot and
Alex Finkelstein won their first match as a doubles pair.
Svajda grabbed his 21
st singles win of the spring and 32
nd win of the season, moving up to third in SMU's all-time leader in single-season singles wins (32).
Georgi Georgiev improved his singles record to 16-4 this spring, while Barton improved his to 17-6.
The Mustangs are tied for sixth in the ACC standings with an 8-5 conference record, clinching a first-round bye for the ACC Championship. The official ACC Championship bracket will be announced on Sunday.

Jerry Barton and
Trevor Svajda opened the match with a dominant bagel win on court one of doubles play against Aidan Pack and Matthew Overvelde (6-0).
Courts two and three played the match point rally simultaneously, but
Alex Finkelstein and
Meethre Barot won on court three, clinching the doubles point for SMU.
Svajda grabbed his 21
st win of the spring by winning his court one singles match against Matthew Carioscia (6-0, 6-4).
Georgi Georgiev won court three of singles play by defeating Matvey Greschner (6-4, 6-2) to make it 3-0.
Barton clinched the win for SMU on court four, defeating Matthew Overvelde in straight sets (6-2, 6-4).
