Winston-Salem, N.C. – SMU men's tennis lost to the sixteenth ranked Michigan Wolverines 4-0 this afternoon in their second match of the ITA Kickoff Weekend.
The Wolverines got off to an early lead, winning back to back doubles matches at No. 2 and No. 3 to secure the first point of the match.
Michigan would serge ahead early in singles, taking the No. 5 and No. 6 matches in straight sets and extending their lead to 3-0.
After dropping the first set 6-2,
Liam Krall would battle in a tightly contested second. Michigan's No. 67 ranked Jacob Bickersteth would eventually take the set 7-5 to win the overall match for the Wolverines.

The Mustangs are back in action on Sunday, February 13 at 9:00 AM vs. Corpus Christi at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex. The match will serve as the undercard to the Dallas Open singles final. Four SMU players will also be competing in the Dallas Open in the week leading up to the match.
