TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (TQCF/SMU) – Rashee Rice has been added to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List, which honors the college football season's outstanding FBS receiver and is presented annually by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, Inc. This is the 14th consecutive year a Mustang has made the list dating back to 2009.
 
The award recognizes any player, regardless of position (wide receiver, tight end, slot back and running back) who catches a pass.
  
Rice, who is on the list for the third consecutive season, entered week five as the NCAA leader in receiving yards (565) and receiving yards per game (141.3), while ranking second in receptions per game (9.3). He currently has a streak of 32 straight games with a reception (T5 NCAA). Rice's 11 receptions for 193 yards at Maryland were both career highs. The game was also his seventh career 100-yard game.
 
He is also listed on the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List and was named to its honorable mention list Sept. 13 and Sept. 6. Rice was also named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll Sept. 12.

The semifinalists, finalists and award recipient are selected by the highly distinguished Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a group of prominent college football journalists, commentators, announcers, Biletnikoff Award winners and other former receivers.
 
Fan voting opened Sept. 28, and semifinalists will be announced Nov. 21. Voting continues to determine the three finalists, which will be announced Nov. 28. A final voting period to determine the winner runs Nov. 28-Dec. 2.
 
The winner will be announced at The Home Depot College Football Awards Dec. 8 and honored at the Biletnikoff Award Banquet & Celebration March 4.
