SMU Classic Results
DALLAS (SMU) – The SMU men's swimming and diving team wrapped up the second day of competition at the SMU Classic.
Colin Feehery took fourth place in the 200 Breaststroke, covering the distance in 1:57.56. Feehery's time earned an NCAA B Cut, marking his fourth career NCAA B Standard in the event.
Angus Corbeau's time of 2:01.67 earned the sophomore fifth place in the Consolation Final race.
Peter Smithson finished in third place and earned an NCAA Zone mark on 3 Meter with a score of 320.50. This marks the fourth NCAA Zone mark on 3 meter of Smithson's career.
Cotton Fields posted a time of 1:47.65 to earn fourth place in the 200 fly.
Russell Exum represented the Mustangs in the Consolation Final, swimming a 1:51.26.
In the 200 backstroke, Fields earned a fifth-place finish with a time of 1:46.24.
Jack Easton swam a time of 1:47.44 in the event's B Final.
Freshman
Sage Sungail's time of 4:27.06 earned the freshman fifth place in the 500 freestyle B Final race. Exum competed in the same event, collecting a time of 4:31.11.
Sungail gathered a time of 44.32 to earn sixth place in the 100 freestyle.
Lance Butler posted a 44.46 in the same race.
Feehery placed fifth in the 200 IM, swimming a time of 1:47.37. Corbeau swam a 1:49.70 in the same event.
The 200 freestyle relay team consisting of Butler, Sungail, Rusnock and Easton touched the wall at the 120.76 mark.
As a team, the Mustangs finished sixth place with 196 points.
