WICHITA, Kan. – Behind a furious rally in set two, SMU cultivated a dominate performance against Wichita State in American Athletic Conference action at Charles Koch Arena Sunday.

Holding a 1-0 lead and facing their largest deficit of the match at 10-3 in game two, the Mustangs outscored the Shockers 47-23 en route to a 25-21, 25-21, 25-12 triumph.

A service ace by the home side kick started the rally, as SMU tallied seven of the next eight points and knotted the score at 11-11. Wichita State regained its footing and reached 20 first at 20-18 but the Mustangs closed with a 7-1 spurt.
