Night One Results
DALLAS (SMU)- The SMU men's swimming and diving team broke three program records and five Mustangs earned NCAA B Standards on day one of the three-day SMU Invitational.
SMU's 200 freestyle relay team consisting of
Justin Baker,
Lance Butler,
Cole Bruns and
Charlie Kaye set the program and pool record with a time of 1:17.17. Additionally, the time achieved an NCAA Provisional Standard. Â
Cole Bruns,
Colin Feehery,
Russell Exum and
Lance Butler represented SMU in the 400 medley relay, claiming first place and covering the distance in 3:08.66. The time broke the SMU program record in the event.
Colin Feehery broke his own record to remain SMU's top all-time performer in the 200 IM after claiming first place with a time of 1:43.45.

Angus Corbeau was the runner-up in the same event. Corbeau earned an NCAA B Cut after swimming a  1:46.17.
Baker and Butler earned NCAA B Standards in the 50 freestyle. Butler took first place with a career-best time of 19.54, and Baker checked in second after touching the wall at 19.63.

Russell Exum finished in third place in the 100 fly. In preliminary action, Exum posted an NCAA B Cut with a time of 46.58. Exum is the third fastest performer in program history in the event.
Jack Easton swam a career-best time of 47.47 in the same event.
On the diving side,
Dominic Hoefer scored valuable points for the Mustangs after scoring second place on 3 meter with a score of 326.35.

Action resumes at 10 a.m. Friday with the 400 IM, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 back, 3 meter, 200 medley relay finals and the 800 free relay finals.
