DALLAS (SMU) – The SMU men's swimming and diving team led from day one and never looked back, coming away victorious at the SMU Invitational.
After three nights of action, the Mustangs posted a team score of 1272. Drury came in second with a score of 809 and Hawaii (690) and Wyoming (502) finished third and fourth place.Â
Cotton Fields (1:44.00) claimed the top spot in the 200 fly and achieved an NCAA B Cut.
Colin Feehery swam a time of 1:53.17 in the 200 breast. Feehery's time broke his own record to remain second all-time on SMU's all-time fastest performer list and earned the senior an NCAA B Standard.
Angus Corbeau (1:57.50) earned an NCAA B Cut and took third place in the same event. Â
Hunter Lund and
Joshua Miller finished back-to-back in the 1650 freestyle. Lund swam a time of 15:35.72 and Miller covered the distance in 15:35.95.
Tyler Barfield earned a third place finish in the 200 backstroke after swimming a career-best time of 1:45.37.
Cole Bruns (43.56) and
Lance Butler (43.60) earned a 2-3 finish in the 100 free finals.
SMU's 400 freestyle relay consisting of
Cole Bruns,
Lance Butler,
Charlie Kaye and
Sage Sungail claimed first place after touching the wall at 2:52.95.
Tyler Coffey represented the Mustangs in Platform Diving, scoring a 277.70.

The Mustangs are back in action Friday, Dec. 2, at TCU. Action will start at 5 p.m.
