
Hardigree, Wilson Named AAC Scholar-Athletes Of The Year

IRVING, Texas (The American/SMU) – Men's swimming and diving's Parker Hardigree and rowing's Hallie Wilson have been named Scholar-Athletes of the Year by the American Athletic Conference for their respective sports.
Award winners are chosen by faculty athletic representatives from each conference institution on the basis of academic credentials and athletic performance and will receive a $2,000 postgraduate scholarship.
Hardigree, a four-time conference champion diver, was a member of the 2021 CSCAA Scholar All-America First Team. He has been on the AAC All-Academic Team on two occasions. A senior from Moultrie, Georgia, Hardigree earned NCAA All-American honors on 1-meter in 2022. He was also named AAC Co-Freshman of the Year and Most Outstanding Diver in 2019.
Hardigree graduated in 2022 with a degree in applied physiology and sport management.
Wilson coxed the varsity four against No. 1 Texas in the 2022 season opener and the second varsity four in SMU's home sweep of Minnesota. She went on to cox the second four for the No. 16 Mustangs at the PAC-12 Invitational, beating No. 8 Washington by 4.44 seconds.
Her No. 16 ranked second four defeated No. 14 Virginia by over 10 seconds at the Longhorn Invitational. She then led the 2V4+ to victory at the 2022 AAC Championship, part of a second straight four-race sweep and automatic qualification to the NCAA Championships for SMU.
Wilson graduated with a B.S. in chemistry in 2022 and will attend McGovern Medical School, part of the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
