SMU is back in action this weekend in Lubbock at the Texas Tech Open & Multis competition. Head Coach A'Havahla Haynes said the level of competition increases this weekend from last week in Nashville across all of the events. 

"This weekend provides another opportunity to prepare for conference team and individual success while also adjusting on what needs improvement from Nashville," Haynes said. "Most of the team will compete in multiple events in order to simulate portions of the multi-day conference championship." 

After just two indoor meets, SMU sits in the top-10 teams in the South Central Region ranked as sixth headed into the weekend. Including this weekend, there are only three more meets until the AAC Indoor Championships and every weekend is an opportunity to improve conference rankings headed into the championship. 

Action will begin on Friday at 3 p.m. for the field events and 4 p.m. with running events.
