DALLAS (SMU)- SMU's diving team swept the 1 meter competition on the second day of the American Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships Tuesday night at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center and Barr-McMillion Natatorium. All three Mustang divers achieved NCAA Zone Marks for the second consecutive night.

Peter Smithson was crowned the conference champion after scoring a 330.90. Tyler Coffey was the runner-up with a career-best score of 319.55. Dominic Hoefer landed in third with a score of 305.50.

SMU's divers swept the 3 meter competition Monday night with Smithson taking first, Hofer as the runner-up and Coffey landing in third.

Diving action concludes tomorrow with platform, while swimming competition opens with the 200-yard medley relay and 800-yard freestyle relay.
