Embry Tallies Fifth Double-Double In Mustangs' Win Over Tulsa

DALLAS (SMU)- Using Chantae Embry's fifth double-double of the season, including 14 points and 12 rebounds, the SMU Mustangs defeated the Tulsa Golden Hurricane 81-58 Tuesday night at Moody Coliseum. Reagan Bradley tied her career-high 18 points.   

The Mustangs shot 58.2% (32-55) from the field, including 58.3% (7-12) from the three point line, while holding the Golden Hurricane to 36% on the night. SMU outrebounded Tulsa 42-20 and led in assists 21-12.

SMU (15-7, 6-4 AAC) dominated coast-to-coast. The Mustangs entered the fourth up 64-41 after outsourcing the Golden Hurricane 31-23 in the third quarter. A 10-0 run extended the Mustang lead. SMU finished 91.7% (11-12) from the field in the quarter. 

Bradley rattled off a three pointer to start the second period on her way to 11 points in the quarter. After a 6-0 SMU run was halted by a Tulsa bucket, Bradley capitalized on an and-one layup to extend the Mustang advantage. SMU led 33-18 at the break. 

SMU led 13-8 after holding the Golden Hurricane scoreless for over half of the first quarter. 

Three Mustangs scored in double figures. Bradley and Embry led the way, with Savannah Wilkinson adding 14 points, four rebounds and three assists, marking her sixth consecutive double-digit performance. Ella Brow scored eight points and tallied five assists. Jessica Peterson tallied six points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Jasmine Smith finished with nine points.
