MINNEAPOLIS (SMU) – Nicole Stambo posted a career-best finish on 1 meter on day two of the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships. The event serves as a qualifier for the 2023 NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships March 15-18 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Stambo used a 546.40 over prelims and finals to secure a 13th-place finish. Her previous best on the event at the Zone Championships was 16th in 2022. The senior qualified for finals in 12
th out of prelims, registering a 275.10.
Action concludes Thursday with platform starting at 11 a.m. CT.
Qualifying Spots Available
Listed below are the qualifying spots available on each event for Zone D. If a diver automatically qualifies in an event based on the numbers below, they will also be invited to the NCAA Championships in an event they place in the top 12 at the Zone Championships, provided they have achieved the zone qualifying score for that event prior to the NCAA Championships.

Preliminary action begins at 11 a.m. CT each day with finals to follow 15 minutes after the conclusion. The top 18 divers move on to finals and scores will carry over.
