CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC/SMU) – SMU freshman diver
Luke Sitz has been tabbed ACC Diver of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
The award comes after he recorded two wins during the SMU Classic in the first two collegiate events of his career.
On 1-meter, Sitz recorded a score of 347.20 to claim the victory. His mark far exceeded the NCAA Zone Standard and is the best in the ACC this season.
The Prosper native tallied a mark of 377.90 on 3-meter to earn his second victory, and this also reached the NCAA Zone Standard for the event. His 3-meter score currently sits second in the conference, and is the highest among ACC freshmen divers.
Sitz joined the Mustangs after recording two top-four finishes at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Diving Trials, the highest finisher below the age of 20 on both 3-meter and 3-meter synchronized.
SMU Men's Swimming & Diving is back in action on Friday at Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center when it hosts a double-dual against Oklahoma Christian and Incarnate Word at 3 PM.
