CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC/SMU) – For the second straight week, SMU freshman diver
Luke Sitz has been named ACC Diver of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Sitz posted a score of 369.90 on 1-meter and 428.03 on 3-meter during the 24th-ranked Mustangs' double-dual victory over Oklahoma Christian and Incarnate Word.
The Prosper native has now eclipsed NCAA Zone Standards twice this season, having done so previously during the SMU Classic.
His scores rank fourth and second in the nation this season, respectively. The freshman has now had the top score in all four of his collegiate events, and has won ACC Diver of the Week following both of SMU's meets this season.
Sitz joined the Mustangs after recording two top-four finishes at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Diving Trials, the highest finisher below the age of 20 on both 3-meter and 3-meter synchronized.
SMU is set to continue its season with a dual meet on the road against TCU on Friday, October 25, at 5 p.m.
