Zachary Kingsland won the individual title at the Trinity Forest Invitational while the Mustangs finished in third as a team.
Â
Kingsland came into the day in a tie for fourth place, four strokes behind first place Zach Little of UNLV. After a par-birdie-bogey start, the junior rattled off four straight birdies that sent him into the thick of contention for the individual title. He came into the 15
th hole tied with Little at 13-under par. They each birdied the 16
th hole but Kingsland's par and Little's bogey on 17 gave the Austin, Texas native a one shot advantage. He stretched that lead by one on the final hole with a par. His 15-under final score tied for 6
th best by a Mustang in a tournament and he became the first Mustang individual winner since
Matthew Foster at the Fallen Oak Invitational last fall.

Coming into the day in third place, the Mustangs held that spot with a third-place finish. They wound up four strokes behind UNLV and two strokes behind LMU among the 15-team field.
